Post by Shade »

Dear Community, Image

As the new year just started (2 weeks ago... *cough* happy new year!), I would like to take the opportunity once again to give you some insights about how well UT99.org is doing after 14 years of existence!

Over the last ~12 months, we had:
- Over 99,000 thousand clicks from Google search
- Over 1.78 million site impressions
- Over 7700 new posts

The following graph shows the clicks and impressions (click to enlarge):

On this occasion, I would like to thank our supporters who have donated in the past to help financing the running costs of UT99.org.
Thank you for your support! :tu: Here is a detailed list of our Honoured Members and Community Supporters. Image

And of course a big thank you to the Staff and Moderators of UT99.org, who continue to put their time and energy into this community. :highfive:

By the way, did you already try out the new maps from the recent UT99.org 2021 No Rules Mapping Contest?

Cheers, and keep fragging! :sniper1:

This is great! Slow and steady is the name of the game. Thank you Shade for hosting and overseeing this cozy and great little community!

Numbers are boring, though. I mean, they would be less boring if it was OpenTTD. This isn't OpenTTD. Even if the presence of running costs might hint otherwise... :p
"Everyone is an idea man. Everybody thinks they have a revolutionary new game concept that no one else has ever thought of. Having cool ideas will rarely get you anywhere in the games industry. You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."
