I like the idea of the VW Beetle :-)

Yes. We already have the skins, now we just need an XV Light Cycle.

There should also be a "Turbo Boost" button for XVehicles, that would be so cool!

(and, the candle marks the exact center of the map if you plan on doing any editing. You can take it out if you want. There's also a few scraps in the south east corner). :tu:

N64 game F Zero X

Starwars Episode 1 racer.

Or a simple (Dutch) bicycle



So how would someone go about making a custom vehicle? im not sure how to get it into Unreal engine 1.

I geuss it needs to be rigged?

How many polygons?

Usually you need stats for it, how it act, which guns, where located. What projectiles fire. Need sounds for engine, stop, start and fire OFC.
Meshes good if be below 1000-2000-3000 polys.
It usually must be skeletal meshes, psk. After need split it in parts, and make config for vehicle. Where what located. Maybe add some code if need.

UTron project has meshes in it for the original TRON movie's tanks and lightcycles. As is they're summonable, though they don't do much outside of UTron.

You have any source models?
Maybe i can look at it, maybe try to make Tron motorcycle for it. I can make models pretty easely.

I can export models from UTXMP - UT2004 ports of U2:XMP.

Physics mean behavior of vehicle. How it accelerate. How it brake. What happen on turn. What happen if ride on slopes.
Fall from something, fall from ramp on high speed. how it react on shots by different weapons and so on.

For example tank physics allow turn in place, when wheeled physics - not.
Hover physics allow hover above water surface, and chopper one - can fly, rise up and lower down. Also it make proper tilt of vehicle when you try move, like real chopper must do.
Submarine physics allow move inside water volumes and ship one - goes over water surface like real ships must do.

Okay that sounds pretty complicated :D to me.
i got carried away today and made this in in only a few hours. it needs some adjusting to UV depending on what is needed for texturing but i think this would be something that would be within the polygon limits or its to low 800?

i would maybe be willing to make some models if someone wants to,

800 is perfectly fit.
In general need lowest as you can. Usually under 1000 is good result.
UV from video not optimally packed on texture, however I guess this can be easy fix.
Good pack UV is important, since it allow get more hi-res version of skin with same texture size. Which usually goes 512x512.
Now need add minigun on top and it can be used in battles :lol:
Also need sounds of engine, tires (if it not here already) and i guess we good to go :D
