I'm changing my opinions about your map, Myth. It's looking good. Really. Wanna try it... :)

ps.: That reminds me that I have to post some wip screens of my CTF/SIEGE map. :?

That few polys could be pulled off better if you used 'cleaner' textures. But that's my opinion.

@Madis - I'm really liking that HOLP-like map. I would, again, trim some surfaces and do something about lighting ( yellow is dominant atm ). Other than that, good job!
@Myth - You are aware that those DecayedS textures are ages old, right? They don't look right anymore as the rest of the map. GAMEPLAY DUDE!! And less amount of floors with mirror effect, they tend to screw up the perfomance.

@Aalexanderrr - DecayedS ages old... mmyeah... don't worry about the mirror effect. It's low poly. It runs at a constant 60 on my rig, which is starting to get old now, it also runs decently on a 1.4 Ghz 240 ram 16 vram(shared) lamedirectx8support crashes on anything as complex as warcraft3 computer.

Edit: BTW it's been released...

Here are something I've been working on the last two days. A morpheus-like CTF map.

The ambient lighting is temporary yet, just for testing purposes. But the layout will be as the image shows: 3 bases on high towers, conected by platforms and bridges. The two bases far from each other are spawning rooms, there's two rooms above them inside the towers that will be the flag rooms. Outside the towers I've made some platforms and bridges with some Z-axis variation conecting the bases as alternative routes.

Accepting sugestions for improvement. :D

Interesting.. jumpads, maybe some rocks with tarydium crystals, some vines and other plants, a small waterfall with a pool containing a Super Health.

Neat. I'd really love to see some of those old wooden walkways from DM-Peak that can barely sustain a player's weight. (and strangely it never breaks when 5 rockets explode on it)

I'd rather see this in a techy environment. Jump pads yeah, but a modern theme instead of castle, rock and tarydium :P

I think jump pads are much "hi-tech" to that kind of map. Maybe an old and "mystic" version of them (magic platforms that make the player floats up with a nice annoying sound?). :P Anyway, thanks for the hints...I'll let the decoration part to do near to the end. For now I'm working on the layout yet. But again, hints written. :)

Latest shot from my newest WIP

Designed as just a random room, I like it a lot, so I figured I'd make a CTF map out of it, with this being the center room (hence the lighting)

Ideas for this room or the rest of the map are greatly awaited :D As are comments and criticisms.

Even whit those 4 column-like things, the background white brick wall is awfully repetitive and annoying. When everything in the foreground, all the objects in front of the wall are so dark and there is white brick backgrounds the huge contrast makes eyes bleed. At least change the texture to something darker, or if you really want some white in the background then use a darker texture and put some white brick trims.

Out of curiosity, is there any texture/s you would suggest?

I was thinking maybe UTtech1 > CLIIFBRK4A?

@Emandion: Yeah UTtech1 > CLIIFBRK4A or CLIIFBRK3A scaled up a little bit should be better.

Here is a pic of my latest WIP DM map. I played a cool map online a week ago, whit no visuals (your basic boxmap whit max light) just a cool layout, I don't even remember it's name... so now I started remaking it from my memory. I hope I can still find the original after I finish this, it should be in a cache file somewhere...

Another face map. But its not CTF-Face guys...

Played with numerous BSP holes and HOMs to create this. The inside is too complicated. It only has one texture and needs to be textured. Will post once I add looks and weapons.
