Old-Timer returns - Quickest way to get vanilla UT99 online play

Hey, I'm hitting 50 next year, was 24 when UT99 hit the shelves...

I have a simple goal, all I want is to play Unreal Tournament GOTY (I have that) on servers where no one cares about mods, new maps,
just plain old vanilla UT99 gameplay.

- do I still need to upgrade to 4.69 ?
- will the server browser list still be populated on my old GOTY edition disc? Ithink that was 4.27 , yee it's ages ago.

I'm going to install it tonight again, as I just want to play UT99 again, online, team DM, no mods, no new maps, just oldskool af

What other steps I need taking..

Hello! I'm in the same age bracket and also a fan of the stock game modes. I like the classics maps as well.

But I enjoy checking out new maps too, and I love mapping in UnrealEd. The irony is I suck at playing UT

So if you find any servers/groups for rusty old farts like myself — that aren't loaded up with mods and 1ee7 fraggers — shoot me a message.

I definitely recommend updating to 469 and this guide is really useful too

Hi,- and welcome.( also an old clanman here)and you can always try my UT99 Server. You can choose different Games/Modes in the Mapvote. I have all of my MXR Series maps in there aswell ,if you wanna try something new. You will find the old ones in there. IP in my signature.
