Server not visible in public

Hello,

I would like to support the UT community by setting up a server.
I have rent one from GTXGaming, I can acces the server by IP but I do not find it in the public list.
I have added the ServerActors and the patch 469C, is installed by the server panel at GTXGaming.
On my own UT I have installed the 469D patch.

I hope someone has a solution.

Also...maybe unrelated to the issue, but...I think you have to increase the cachesizemegs to at least 256 these days.

I have paste the lines at the bottom of the server UnrealTournament.ini, then restart server, but still not visible. Must I leave "MasterServerAddress=" blank?

It must be in System folder. Usually server.log. But all depends from your command line. Usually it goes as `log=server.log`

Possible some ports firewalled, or DNS not work. Server try resolve DNS names of master servers, but not got anything in answer.
I guess 7778-7780 must be forwarded in addition to 7777.

Also for UT server must be allowed query DNS server.

Maybe "dumb" question, but have you tried contacting GTX for support? I see UT as one of the games listed, so they may have at least some idea of what is up. Or I could be wrong. :what:

Yes, that was the first thing I did. I think they dont have UT servers hosted.
The support is testing and they will reply (hopefully) later with an solution. Are there any other cheap gamehosting companys that rent working UT servers out of the box?

I recommend a regular vps or local hosting.
Purely because of the restricted access you have to these panels.

Not taking away that ucc.exe should be by default allowed in their configurations.

Shared (root) server are very cheap (< 1 EUR/day) but suffer under performance impairment by other users.
Dedicated - outdated, but enough for UT - server are available below 19 EUR/month.
