screen resolution desktop after playin' ut

Hi all UT'ers!

I just bought a new 40'' monitor and have installed ut goty and ut2004 from scratch. When I play on both and finish exiting the game I go back to the desktop of win 7 x64 or win 10 x64 (I have two pcs connected to the same monitor) but I get disconfigured to the resolution I had before playing (2400*1200, with the nvidia option of full scaling), the icons appear messed up and it is annoying to have to sort them in the way I want. Questions:

1) How do you make so that the resolution doesn't change or mess up my icons? or....
2) Do you know of any application that doesn't move the icons around?

I need your kind help

Doesn't sound like a problem caused by UT (or UT2k4).

Play in windowed mode for 469d + use one of this awesome d3d11 renders:
DirectX11 renders which faster from D3D9 and not lag on CTF-XV-Blice map:

DX11: https://github.com/dpjudas/UT99VulkanDrv - it is new. Not one what be bad from ModDb and make all oiled.
Despite name, there not only Vulkan renderer, but also for DX11.

(Need enable Texture Atlas in settings, for make it CTF-XV-Blice not lag)

Also you can use BorderlessGaming: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming
It not ideal but can help you.

In 469e will be integrated both renders above and appear borderless mode for screen.

But if you not need full screen you fine with 469d and windowed mode.

Having a desktop resolution and your UT resolution the same would be ideal for what you're talking about (although your screenshots will be huge) but your icon issue is totally in Windows.

I don't know about your current version, but in previous versions of Windows if you right-click directly on the desktop it gives you options to customize your icons.

Been awhile but there used to be be one for arranging how they're situated.

thanks then option one: using those great drivers and set as windowed, option 2 use that app (i try to buy outside steam)
Hi evlgrins, im using right now both win 7 and 10 x64 (win 10 scales better than 7 but not prevents me to play ut/ut2k4), ill try your suggestions, thnaks!
