Devastation video game

Post by Red_Fist »

Thought I would post this, probably everyone knows about it other than me.

But it's UT2003 engine, however it seems more like original UT99, it might as well be ut99.

https://www.myabandonware.com/game/devastation-enl

It has everything, the editor (static meshes) and other programs with it. Has SP , CTF DM and other things.

from that site
""If your game doesn't open, try this:
-go the game's directory, and look for an .exe called "udb"
-make a shortcut out of it and name it "Devastation" (for practicality)
-use this .exe to play the game

Had to make this in order for the game to run on Windows 10.""

I am running win7 64bit and I still had to do that.

Yes, I remember John Falgate (Angel Heart) author of DmDowntown, Breakfast, Bladerunner 2019, etc. was one of the level designers of Deva Station.

Also the Star Wars series Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Battlefront II, and Republic Commando (one of the coolest games of all time) was made with the Unreal Engine. You can open up a lot of those levels in the editor and check them out. You can also modify the Be-Jesus out of some of those weapons. :D

That Wookie homeworld (Rescue Tarrful) is one of the most beautiful maps I've ever seen, especially for a 20 year old game.
