So I just logged on for the first time in maybe 6 months earlier today and noticed, damn, the last 'great server' that almost always had people daily is gone. Wildcard's Gauntlet. I'm sure people will know the one.... anyone have any clue on where it went, maybe Wildcard just decided to shut it down for good? Definitely a bummer. When I play offline and hear the music and everything, IDK. It makes me feel crazy things. Makes me disappointed I'll never have what we once had again with Unreal Tournament. I think crazy things like if I were a celebrity, if I were, idk... the level of a Elon Musk, Lebron James, Taylor Swift, whoever.... I'd be using that celebrity to get people to play UT again lmao. I'd fully resurrect this game! I loved this game that much, it was everything. Chose playing it on some days over doing school work, going on vacations, dates, hangouts with friends/fam, it was life.... but unfortunately there's no way to magically get a time machine and go back in time to the early 2000s and play it with people on tons of servers!

Are there ever organized game events for UT through these forums? Like how many people here actually play UT online frequently still? I look occasionally to check but, I feel like the people I talk to do the same and just check sometimes but dont play it really. Unless we all get lucky and look/check at the exact same time, it's hard to get pug games going nowadays. But I'd literally die just to play this game with people for hours every day again, it would mean that much to me.I lost my wife several years ago and really am kind of having a mid life crisis I guess, really miss the past, miss the UT glory days, and hate the fact that UT was essentially killed for Fornite, and Epic Games has turned into... well... something not good. Gaming is bigger than ever but, also worse than ever in many ways. We used to play just to have fun, UT had no exp or levels or paid dlc and paid skins, it was all FREE, and we could add whatever we could create to the game! It truly was the glory days. Anyway, venting a little here, would love to hear from some other UT OG's and maybe get together for some games. Much love, my UT gamers!
I actually have the Gold logo tattoed on my shoulder, and I don't even like tattoos, I only have 2, but dated someone who was super into them and you know, kinda got pressured and yep, had to get that logo if I was gonna get something lmao.
