Hey Mr. I was only able to open version 1 of the zip file. The one mentioned below seems to corrupted somehow. It only shows 12.8 mb as a complete download and won't open.
I was only able to play the maps listed below. I'll play the others if you can fix the v2 zip file. I played them all 5v5 in regular and iCTF.

The full list of maps so far (I was only able to play these 7 from the first zip file)

1 - w00tious-SE - Played great with your new top level addition. Worth mentioning that if you try to play with a player count of 6 or less, the bots will just stay up top at those spawn points and not move unless someone goes to them. I didn't go up there much because the trip up there and back usually meant sacrificing a flag capture.
2 - Cityw00t - Played great. This one absolutely needs one or two more spawn points. I was racking up easy ultrakills just by camping the flag rooftops. Maybe at rocket or sniper rooftops.
3 - Hydrow00t - Played fine. No issues. Felt completed.
4 - Morphew00t - This map is a blast. My favorite from the list. Feels like it is ready to go.
5 - Noxiousw00t - Playing on red, all of the bots on blue traveled in on counter-clockwise circut; Travel to base down the right-side corridor, get flag, then travel back to base using other corridor. I was able to just remain at the sniper rifle spawn, zoom across my base to the opposite corridor (where shock rifle is) and just head-shot one bot after another without moving my mouse. The bots never used the other path otherwise they would have fragged me.
6 - w00tDarj - This one was a blast. Love all of the routes. However, very dark on a couple parts of the map to the point that you can't recognize if a player is a teammate or not even if you are standing right next to them. The four corners that are the bounce pad destination when traveling diagonally is where the dark patches are. Where the ceilings aren't lit. This one also might need a couple more spawn points as you can just camp the flag locations and pick off spawing players to left and right on the same level.
7 - w00tris - no issues found. Fun with iCTF and LowGrav variants.

@revok14 - thanks so much for testing!

I think I may have ballzed up the .zip file trying to add the umx :wth: I've remade and re-uploaded the zip file ( same location )

For v2 , there were a fair few fixes between v1 and v2 ( and some new maps ) - so some of the stuff might be addressed already ( lighting ) - but some very good points about spawn-camping.


I'll do an new set at weekend with some of your suggested fixes ( Spawn points / Lighting in particular )

The one with the dark corners ( formerly w00t-darjj , now "Cubew00t" ) - has seen a lot of fixes since v1.

Tonight I added some spawn-points up top and added a bit more lighting on the side/ramp area. ( Some more yellow to make the green less overpowering! )

Sweet. Got the new maps. Zip file works. I took the day off tomorrow, so I'll play them tomorrow between errands. I'm probably 8 hrs behind you, assuming you are in the UK.

When trying to load the 'cubewoot' map got an error message that says something like: "cannot find package for HourIndusx_UT" and it crashes. :(

Very nice map! Insane gameplay. IMHO IdealPlayerCount: 12-16 is overdo. I guess 2-6

If I could get get 4 humans onto my server simultaneously, that would a miracle ;) But I'll keep talking to the Zoomers. They don't know what they are missing.

I've played all of the maps in this beta. They are very polished. Just one more spawnpoint issue on one map and they all feel ready to go. Some of them didn't show a thumbnail or showed an old or incorrect one when in the game menus. I pointed that out just in case you didn't know.

AllYourFacingW00t - feels done. Plays great in iCTF and turboCTF

CityW00t - feels done. Fun flag chases.

cubew00t - great improvements to the lighting. Feels done. Good flag battles on this one in TurboCTF **missing thumbnail/screenshot**

DeatMeatGFw00t - this one has what feels like all of the bots spawning at the flag. For a 5v5 match, it gets real crowded. Maybe one more spawn point on the Flak cannon pillars? Also, I was only able to get to the the UDamage playing TurboCTF with the 65pct air control. Might just be me... **missing thumbnail/screenshot**

HydroW00t-feels done. I'll probably put this on the server as iCTF Lowgrav. The bounce pads get real crowded real fast. **missing thumbnail/screenshot**

Morphew00t-Still great. Lots of different battle areas and I like the Redeemer area with those fans.

Noxiousw00t-probably done. I didn't play this one much the second time around.

SpicyW00t-fun and great looking map. Feels done. **missing thumbnail/screenshot**

w00terGalactic-The only spawn-points seem to be at the bottom of the base. You can just do laps on the top of the map and the bots won't even know you are there. The don't do much traveling in iCTF, not sure why. **missing thumbnail/screenshot**

w00tEternal-feels done. Fun, and you can get in some sniper time if you're fast... **this one had an older screenshot with a different map name/picture**

w00tious-SE- feels done.

w00tris-feels done. I'll probably load this one exclusively as a LowGrav iCTF b/c of how open it is.

Can't wait to put them on my server.

I'm working through your comments! Updating spawn-points and lighting among other tweaks.


I've recruited a friend who's going to complete one more map ( King Mango )

Looking at the first blog post - I reckon a full 20 years seems fitting, so I guess a release of 5th December is where I'll aim :

AllYourFacingW00t - might update some of the bot path/slope dodges for the Armour ( still stuck in ground after 20 years )

CityW00t - I updated some pathing / spawn points

cubew00t - minor updates to pathing/lighting

DeatMeatGFw00t - added your suggestion for more spawns. U-Damage and invisibility only accessible with x-loc, so won't appear on area mutators.

HydroW00t-feels done. There's a fake ceiling so if low-grav, I'd probably add higher walls or something specifically for a lo-g version.

Morphew00t-Still great. No tweaks, need to do thumbnail etc.

Noxiousw00t-probably done. - This one probably more fun with more players, the chases down the side corridor especially were for frantic multi-player.

SpicyW00t- - Need pictures and better name :D

w00terGalactic- Some tweaks on lighting / spawning etc Need to figure if to add death-zone or electrocution if falling in front of the lower-teeth

w00tEternal-feels done. Need to do thumbs, it's still Eternal-Caves :D

w00tious-SE- Will update music / thumbs ( If not already? )

w00tris-feels done. will add screens etc.


Bonus ** ( see screenshot ) - fixing AllYouw00t as AllYourw00tSE-20 ( 20th anniversary version ) with fixed moon and new cat (and maybe another easter-egg? )

Figured out I should up the FPS on gameplay capture, now looks less janky :o

Added some new stuff to City w00t , though may bin off the fire-escapes and just keep the new route / antenna.

So though I've not actually commented on this post yet - I was inspired by @Leo(T.C.K.) and his publishing of some of the old pre-release maps.

Here's a quick beta of "w00t 16" - I'm struggling a little with balancing the w00t element and keeping it ( somewhat) true to the original map and layout.

Being CTF, I've rotationally reflected the map so there are two 'decks' in one, connected by a central atrium.
