A few years back I experienced a stress-induced ocular migraine, where my vision filled with stringy beads of vibrating, coloured lights. If it hadn't been so disconcerting, it would have been strangely beautiful.

The first time I had one of those I was sure I was having a stroke. I was alone at the house and by the time I realized something was in my vision it had covered enough that I couldn't see directly ahead. I knew I wasn't dizzy or weak or unstable so I sat down to see what was going to happen. You're right, it is in fact "strangely beautiful". Once you understand they are harmless and you just have to wait it out until they expand away into your peripheral vision you can appreciate them for the phenomena that they are.

I used to make slide shows just like you, of every match - period!

I had so many I had to stop, up there in the 6 digits...

I grew a style of my own and stopped looking back - I only have a portion of them - It reminds me of my father who had this gigantic list of MP3s up in the 6 digits as well, he cut that off too
