I asked paper to reactivate me on the board. In RL I finally retired so I have time now to do stuff. It's weird, I never thought I'd make it to here. I fully expected to cash my chips out years ago but it just didn't happen. Anyway now that I have time I'm doing a little bit of support work for some people. It's nice to be creative again.
I've gotten a couple of emails asking how I'm doing. It's been a helluva ride, not gonna lie. Figured I'd update here since you guys helped WAY more than you know by providing me an escape from life when I needed it so badly. To recap here is me when I got sick. Most of you have seen this, warning it is a post surgery shot and a bit graphic:
Spoiler
So over the years if I was an asshole (if? sorry....WHEN) I apologize. I was dealing with a lot. People can be really cruel with their comments and stares and I developed a pretty gruff personality to counter it since I'm forced by my job to be in public pretty much all the time. If I've made you mad before consider that despite whatever battles happened I lost the war
Overall I'm doing OK for 56. There's a lot of discomfort from the radiation still but you get used to it. I've learned a lot about perseverance. I've also learned that babies definitely don't like anyone with a weird face
If you still read this Ray I hope you know there are others who struggle. Hang in there!
