Try Eavy's Assault Bonus Pack -- it has a mutator that allows you to turn off autocannons, as well as a lot of other tweaks to Assault mode:

Question: Where have all the auto-cannons gone in DM? Many maps come to mind where having them would really open things up. In DM-PsychoAsylum the auto-machine gun was badass (when it made a kill it would say "BACK TO YOUR CELL, LOQUE") ha ha...seriously, why aren't mappers using them?

I use them in my new Map DM-GangWar-Rocketfight.
Two cannons on the ceiling named Waldorf and Statler (muppet show) they shoot many rockets @ you if you camp too long.

I don't use them in DM because the bloody things rate as a Suicide, and it's a PAIN in the ASS! "W00T! Only One Kill to go!" Zacman was killed by an automatic cannon! "@#$%"

I said why I don't use them... If they were rated as kills of their own it'd be fine-like what skaarj do when you summon them-but they don't. They game says Suicide. it's like "Ha ha you idiot you ran in front of a rocket! We R gonna penalise U!"

The cannons are very fun ... in my map you can avoid them.
Both shoot slow rockets (but many of them)

If the translocator belongs to UT ...the Autocannon do it as well.
