UT3 (I know ut99), but!

Post by Red_Fist »

Was playing around in the UT3 editor trying to get brushes imported thinking I needed to import the old engine default texture.
However, if you feel the need, use import under the "brush" tab, it will transfer the brush but in it's new default texture.
But after you import it, the red builder brush stays the same, until you click on it and you see your new brush.

As a UT99 mapper-player you can use ut2004 to make better more accurate brushes, then export, then import to UT99.(might save you a killer BSP hole-collision prob).
I have not tried UT3 edit > UT99 edit yet, importing a brush, but UT04 works.

:tu:

Also, was wondering (another thread?) but you think you could pull off a screenshot-map-comment-download-vote thing .
It would be sooo nice to have a place to rate maps again, AND comment, plus the moderators are present, unlike the last place.
It makes people want to make maps, then see it cleaned to the bone with neg or pos comments, fun.

(each editor worked no problems)
:)

One other tidbit, Unreal, UT, UT04, UT3, and all zips and mods have "intalled" and worked fine for Intel i7-920 Win7 pro 64bit.

Thread moved (even if it sounds a little bit absurd) to Offtopic (hell where else could it be?)

We had a similar situation like this already. Its pretty pointless to ask people HERE on a UT1 (mapping) forum about the UT3 editor. Even if you can use the ut3 ed for some brush - "tricks" as you said. beyondunreal or unrealplayground are the better choice for that.

Actually - if I understood you right - you wanna download maps and vote here? Well, sadly the dl - base is still not working (this will not change until Shade will doing something, but since is he perma - busy, its a problem)
About to be non-active
My very last UT map project: CTF-FacePalm (tropical CTF-Face remake)
Why do I leave? click here
What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills
Thanks to those who visibly supported me until/at the end!
