Well, Halloween is Over (and very FUN) and {CLD} has returned to its more "Standard" configuration.
But an UPDATE... (a lot of News)
Regular "Normal/Stock" Weapons DM (Death Match) is NOW HERE on {CLD}!!! - 4th Column in MapVote!
This has the nwDM map prefix. (Normal Weapons)
Also,
in Addition the the above "Normal Weapons" DM, a ZARK-Vers6 Rifle (the Latest) mod option map list is Still there also - in 4th Column in MapVote!
This is Normal DM with the Zark Added in for some Thrills and Zing and has the zkDM map prefix.

AND...
{CLD} is really coming around and things are working pretty darn good now.
No redirect problems either - this is working great and is VERY FAST I have noticed - (Faster than most) - even at my distance from the server which is located in Los Angeles CA USA.
GameServers seems to have fixed that one for good I hope.
Now for the Great News...
We currently Run the Newest (Many think the Best) Redeemer mod out there that includes (but not limited to) the "PirateDeemerCMM"(currently "off"), the "STINGER-Deemer" and the "FAST-N-Furious-Deemer" + others - But, here is the exciting part...
We are now patiently awaiting the arrival of the tentatively named "
SUPER-Deemer2011" mod that has been and is currently being built for {CLD}.
Development is a little slow going but is going pretty good - like aging a good beverage I guess.
I can hardly wait to unveil it to the public.
IF only even a
few of the planned
13+ Improvements/Innovations are implemented into this new "
SUPER-Deemer2011" mod, it will be totally COOL!
AND - Totally FUN!!!
It should "Literally" Blow Anything Out There (other redeemer arena mods anyway) right out of the Water!
It will be a great compliment to standard redeemer arenas though too, for a real change of pace.

Players that are New to playing Redeemer tend to blow themselves up a lot.
Well, that problem is now Solved at {CLD}!!!
Because - in the {CLD} News...
We are trying something NEW in the 2nd Column of MapVote maps. (and 1 other also)
This 2nd column has the FASTnFurious-Deemer (aka Yellow-Deemer - Same as the MEAT/Scope-Deemer, but no scope is the only real difference, along with a small, less annoying and less view blocking weapon HUD of the F-N-F-Deemer) and this Redeemer type has a
Large Blast.
As we all know, BOTs just do Not play Redeemer Arena very well, mainly because they "forget" how large the blast is from their weapon and Blow themselves to powder a lot.
Bots use a Redeemer even firing it at close range like it was a regular weapon such as a rifle or hand gun is why they tend to fail with Redeemers.
On {CLD} we have Already Specially Tweaked the bots especially to be able to play Redeemer Better to minimize this self destruction quite a bit in a effort to keep it from happening as much, and it has worked Very Well.
The Bot's self-destruction problem is virtually gone from the Stinger-Deemer games also because of the Tweaking etc., but it is (or was) still there in the FASTnFurious-Deemer games a bit too much.
So, to help remedy this (and Help out the New Players) in the FASTnFurious-Deemer map Column game type on {CLD}, we are trying out an Experiment and made it so the bots sustain NO Damage from Their Own missiles.
Actually, the Same for Real Players too. (think New Players here also)
You will now notice that the bots Generally Kick some Serious Butt when playing the 2nd Column maps with the FASTnFurious-Deemer.
The Bot's scores are much more like Real Players with Virtually No negative scores, etc.
In fact, they have been doing Better than many real players now with the playing field more leveled now.
We will watch and see how this goes.
