Cyber-punk at it's acme. This game is loaded with conspiracy, bio-technology, Trans-humanism and ridiculous physics.
If you're not excited about this game, I suggest you check your pulse. I still hold the original as the best first-person-shooter ever for it's story line alone.
I really hope they don't mess this one up like they did with invisible war.

Never played any game of that series, but it looks indeed interesting.

What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills

WTF!? I may have to kick your ass lol If you can live with a few choppy frames and load times I would actually recommend the PlayStation 2 version of the first one as the environments are laid out better and the CG cut scenes are more dramatic. The second (Invisible War) is a great game, but it's a piece of shit Deus Ex game. I would recommend playing that one first (like I did), but in doing so you'll know what happened at the end of the first game. As for this one, I have sky high expectations for it even though Warren Spector and John Romero have nothing to do with it. Western meets eastern on this title, Square Enix (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest) and Eidos (Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief 3) are working together on this project and Square Enix has done the CG animations for it. Also this one is actually a prequal that takes place several years before the first game.Creavion wrote:Never played any game of that series, but it looks indeed interesting.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Dude, plz stop that senseless crap, everybody wants to tell me "WTF, you did not play this.. bla bla bla". Its just annoying and I have problems to take those people seriously after that anymore. Really.. if you have listen to that every time if you have not played something ... I guess you would understand me. Also have not played "Mass effect" or how it is called, was also completly inapprehensible for a buddy in my chat list. Everytime a déjà vu. I know, you are most likely not really serious about that, but, its annoying anyway. Thanks.
BTW: I dont have a playstation 2 (anymore), in fact I dont have ANY console (anymore, beside a half broken gamecube without TV in my room).

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I played a bit of the first one. Very awesome game for its time.
I hear that in this one we are given a regenerating health model. So I don't expect a lot from the gameplay. Why are all the games today made so easy? You don't even have to worry about health, ammunition anymore and you have bright arrows pointing at every cover.
Look back at how awesome Thief 2 was. You had no Idea what to do. The map is a piece of paper whit out that bright spot indicating where you are. You had to write down all the info you get cause you aren't being told everything every 5 minutes or so. You had an open world whit countless possibilities and many ways to finish the mission. You feared death. You feared the undead. You feared just about every enemy cause they were STRONG and usually had potent AI. Then you could turn up the difficulty level and finish the mission whitout KILLING anyone.

I'm pissed about this as well.Myth wrote: I hear that in this one we are given a regenerating health model. So I don't expect a lot from the gameplay. Why are all the games today made so easy? They said the regenerating health feature was made to not disturb the "flow" of the game so people wouldn't have to spend time searching for medkits.
But the time you spend searching for medkits encourages exploration and discovering parts of the map you may have never stumbled upon.
Plus, it teaches you to be careful. They had regenerating health in the first one but you first had to find the augmentation canister and then search for well hidden upgrades. That's how it should be done.

Trailer looked really good, hopefully gameplay will keep the bar at same level.
