MHMapAdjuster- New release

Post by JackGriffin »

From the ReadMe:
MHMapAdjuster is a mod that loads on the start of a map and runs through all the creature/thing factories. Now for a bit of information for the non-mappers: Creature Factories (CF for short) are actors in a map that spawn many copies of a particular monster. Think "spam maps" for this. Well some of those damn things have the count set to 100,000 <cough ATAA cough> while others are set to "-1" which means they never end  MHMapAdjuster runs through them all and manually resets them to a limit defined by the admin.

If the CF has less, it keeps that amount. If it is set for more than the admin's choice, it is adjusted. This mod also checks for any counters that are connected to the factory and adjusts their number too. This will allow the counters to trigger things correctly for the new limits.

There is also a setting that will adjust all existing monsters on the map to a health limit you set (if they are over).
Think of it as a single-player mod for any MH map, no matter how badly made. Use this and you can easily make a server that will allow 1-3 players on any existing MH map and it won't be a grind of endless, mindless monster killing on the poorly made maps.

Sounds good in theory but doesn't that lessen the challenge a bit?

It's supposed to. Many maps were made for teams of 5 or more. MH is slowly dying though and many servers sit empty. This is a way for less popular servers to still get play and it not be frustrating.
