Just got banned from Fuzz Ball's monsterhunt server

I'm a little fuzzy what's going on with this. Shortly I got into the game I discovered that friendly fire was cranked all the way up, most notably because this guy named Inhuman kept shooting me and taking off my health. After the bunch of us elimated a boss, a lot of them proceeded on and a few stayed behind to shoot at each other.

Admittedly, it was mostly Inhuman that was shooting around and folks were shooting back.

I got the drop on Inhuman, tearing into him with the minigun...when I was booted out of the game and a server message informed me I got banned.

It's not unusal for me to get shot in Monsterhunt games. I play as a Skaarj Trooper so it usually takes a beat for folks to figure out I'm not with the monsters on the map. Still, on a place where friendly fire is set to allow players to kill each other and players are shooting the crap out of each other...

...well, i hope Inhuman got booted to.

Out of curiosity I popped back into the server. Never been banned from one before, wanted to see what would happen. Turns out, I got into the game just fine but all the players were gone except for one.

Inhuman.

Currently very confused.

maybe this guy is the Admin...
I got a kick and time-ban years back in counterstrike 1.6 ...because I screwed the positive stats of a admin guy ...He camped for minutes in a long hallway I didn't know he did and run in his aim ...I was shot in the head.
He insulted me (you don't want to know what he think he knows about my mother) and I replayed if he has lost his mind. Kick and a week time-ban.
I never joined back to this server.

I mainly only went back for the curiosity. Now that I did get back I'm wondering why I got a banned notice when I'm not actually banned?

Fuzz_ball is the server owner. Contact him directly, he's a damn fine guy. I promise you that he will work it out. I know he has zero tolerance for team shooters and he might have been watching from webadmin and just kicked everyone to remind them to stop.

I'd consider it a lesson in what not to do. He has it clearly stated in his rules not to team shoot. Just because others are doing it doesn't mean you should too. On a lot of server groups you'd be taking a break from them for doing that. I think Fuzzy was just reminding you of this.

Hey! WoW! Uh, sorry, I was outta town til Monday night.
I looked and didn't see EvilGrins or Doppleganger in the ban list.
I do have quite a few L5 Admins to keep things in check and encourage them
to give sufficient warning unless someone is being a complete UTARD (thank *POTS* for that word!)
Most bans are for several matches, initially.
There are still players who come in and like to shoot others off of high places, etc.

I'm glad it all worked out for you DoppleGrinner!!! .
For the most part, we have a great group of players who like to come in, shoot, chat and play like a real co-op game!
