MinDesiredFramerate determinates when UT will reduce visuals in order to maintain desired framerate. In theory setting value to 1000 should not have effect, because FrameRateLimit kicks in.rsbloom44 wrote:Hey raynor do you know the difference in Min Desired Framerate if you set it to 0 or an absurdly high number like 1000?

So they both in theory have the same effect right? That is, they both will do nothing..

Should be. Also most people have fast enough hardware to not notice UT downscaling it's visuals because of low framerate.

Roger. Thanks. By the way, have you thought about writing a guide for competitive play? Like low graphics, high gamma, coronas off, that type of stuff?

Gotcha.Raynor wrote:In short, no. I'll leave that to someone elsersbloom44 wrote:Roger. Thanks. By the way, have you thought about writing a guide for competitive play? Like low graphics, high gamma, coronas off, that type of stuff?I believe there are already lot of those "high fps" configs out there and my goal is to make UT look better, not worse. Besides I think it's not very hard to turn all those advanced options off yourself to achieve that goal.
You can copy them, but it's better to know why they used certain stuff.UT Sniper (SJA94) wrote:Best things for stuff like that is player inis, who play in tournaments ect.rsbloom44 wrote:Roger. Anyway with Realtek HD Audio Drivers are good for sound tweaking
We can add more bass or possible to play UT with chimpunk sound style

Re: TUTORIAL: Unreal Tournament Audio & Visuals Tweaking Gui
Isn't this Realtek HD Audio Driver only working with a Realtetek audio card?

Well, it's Realtek specific enhancement similar to Creative's Audio Control Panel features and what many other vendors have included with their software.

exactly ...the Realtek HD Audio Driver is pretty useless without the corresponding audio card.Raynor wrote:Well, it's Realtek specific enhancement similar to Creative's Audio Control Panel features and what many other vendors have included with their software.

Uhm, sorry if it's in the wrong place but how can I fix OpenGL? I mean when I use it UT looks very crappy, I see greyish triangles and it runs terribly slow
Oh and where did the D3D9 recommended settings go, Raynor?

I find OpenGL to be most up-to-date and feature rich, but I did add Direct3D9 settings back for people who prefer that renderer so no worryGEx wrote:Uhm, sorry if it's in the wrong place but how can I fix OpenGL? About your problem - did you try my pre-configured INI or Direct3D9, have you overclocked your graphics card?
