New UMX tracker mods

I'm not a fan of the modern UMX files, with a ripped audio file embedded, as the files are too large, and the audio suffers from being dropped to 22KHz.
As a long-time Amiga user, I have heard more than my fair share of high quality tracker mods.

I got fed-up hunting BSP errors the other night :omfg: , and decided to give my eyes a rest and use my ears for a bit. So I went on a hunt through the Aminet PD library, for the original distos of some of my favourite tracker mods.
Well I've had a blast listening through them, but I haven't yet found the old pre-fame Coldcut and Aphrodite yet, so I may be digging out my old cover-discs at some point

It is about time to share some of the cream of the crop.
I will be converting them all to UMX format, and repackaging with all the original files intact (I will not be re-releasing any material without documentation).
First up, is a selection of tunes so good, I turned them into MP3s !
Please welcome on-stage the mod group "pHASE dISTORTION" with just over 1 hour of cool music, weighing-in at 6.5MB download

Last one for today, and this one has a treat for the metal-heads like me
There will be more rock mixes thrown into the... er... mix. I just have a lot of tunes to find and inspect. I only FTP'ed 4 folders so far, and that was about 700MB of mods!

Cheers for the link. I've had a search through but can't find any of the artists I'm looking for there so far :(

I will be talking to DJ Nick/Dtronic about using some of his classic tunes (we're friends on Farcebook)

BTW. the mods I have posted are of an outstanding quality (They don't sound like tracker mods except 1), and are all worth listening to for enjoyment, even if not used for a UT map.
Of special note is; phd_arab.rar (Arabian Nights) and phd_seas.rar (Seas of Cheese). They are outstandingly good.
(remember also were all made on Amigas)

Mainly I will post tracks that are worth listening to for their own merit, but will be paying attention to "atmosphere" for use in UT.
Winamp users can just play these files "straight out of the box".
Considering the requests in this section of the forum for new UMX files, I would expect some interest/comments from those individuals.
I am keeping my ears open for any Slayer style metal mods, as Slayer is my fave music to kill my friends to :satan:

Fixed your youtube links ... only the jumble after the "=" is necessary for the BB-code.

LOL, I wonder what you wanna tell us with this? I can imagine, but I ask nevertheless.

I would prefer a remix of "my" requested ut3 song.

I'd like to use the original audio file if possible, but just for you I'll rip it from youtube and see if I can be inspired with it (I do horror/scary mixes though).
I just noticed that Mekalopolis is used in my fave map Kamah (You sly dog, now I understand :tu: )
Even if I got an original it would be an OGG file. My aim here is to hunt down quality tracker mods that are also very small.
But I guess a sequel, needs a sequel

I may have found a decent download :D
*EDIT*
Now I have found a download!
http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-sou ... opolis.mp3

Thanks for fixing the links, I have plugins set to not auto-run in Opera, and didn't notice my mistake. I will Keep an eye out for that, or allow UT99.org full rights (probably wise).
*RE-EDIT*
I have just looked at the Youtube edits. Sh*t I didn't know the forum made it that simple! So simple, yet so obvious (as long as Youtube don't change)
BIG, BIG thanks

I hope someone else posts something groovy in this thread, or I'm going to fee guilty about hogging it (Well I did start it though).
(Sorry for the separate post, but this one is a "real" post, rather than a comment)

Ok, I have been working my way through the "Atmospheric" mod folder, but feel the need to give you a treat while I am compiling the next bunch.
1 of my all-time fave protracker mods, and a tribute the the old game "Alien Breed 3D" :D
