When playing LAN games with friends (in the same room) it is not permissible to throw things at the other players in order to distract them so you can win.

When playing a marathon epic map of MonsterHunt where you will not stop until the map has been beaten and entirely cleared of ALL monsters, there is no such thing as too much caffeine.

When not playing online Unreal Tournament can be paused... so no excuses for sitting there until your bladder bursts!

Playing UT when you're about to pass out is ill-advised, so keep a pillow handy. Keyboard forehead is a very real thing.

If you wake up in a bit of a pent manner, do not rely on a good session of UT practice match to get rid of it.

Old reply, I know, but...why not? I love that map. And...guess my favorite UT music track. Yep, that's right, Mechanism Eight. 😁

Anyway...the rules.

Respawning is the essence of UT. A mod or mutator that does not allow respawning is not really a UT mod. (And don't even think about permadeath!!! 😒)

Does that mean that standard LMS, with just 1 life set, is not considered a valid UT gametype either? :instagib1:

Not being able to respawn in any game of this kind does suck though (except in battle royales, which is the whole point of those games).
I remember MH servers setting a very limited number of lives per player, which made the game more challenging, but it ended making players not being able to play in some servers hours at a time, when the map was sufficiently large, hence why MH servers with unlimited lives or a very high number started to become far more popular, and the old ones pretty much disappeared entirely.

The "not entirely serious" thread. But yeah, totally forgot about LMS, sorry about that. I seldom play games like Counter-Strike, cause I die too quickly, usually some sniper, and then I have to wait...and wait...and wait for the round to end. Nope, I need my respawn. This is all my personal taste, though.

When in doubt, let AI choose the rules for you.

Never forget, assholes are surrounded by butts... and butts are harder to kill than anyone has any right to expect.

Before each match, it is essential that the players recite the Impact Hammer Creed: "This is my Impact Hammer. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Impact Hammer is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Impact Hammer is useless. Without my Impact Hammer, I am useless."

Alternatively, On CTF matches, the Translocator Creed is usually preferred.

Remember the Pussy Law #4:
NO PLAYER SHALL BE HARMED,
EVEN IN SELF DEFENSE, UNLESS
SPECIFIC LICENSE AND SEASON IS
IN ORDER. SELF DEFENSE CAN ONLY
BE JUSTIFIED BY EXTREME, PROVABLE
PERIL AND OR DOCUMENTED VISIBLE
BODILY HARM.
Your old line of "It's comin' right for us" no longer works. So now, you only kill other players to, quote, "thin out their numbers". If you don't hunt, then these players will grow too big in number and they won't have enough food. So you have to kill players, or else they'll die.

If someone is trying to stop all the fragging in a server to establish a virtual socialist republic, frag them anyways. There is no food in the unrealiverse to begin with.
Only nali fruit, but those are all mine!

...no.

Anyone who's ever had a hamburger knows the potential that every Nali WarCow provides, in there inherent beefy beings.

Not to mention, according to the Skaarj... humans are good eating.

Never forget, everyone is someone else's food.
