Do I have a gift for you fine people.

Recently, I took the time to download and sort through hundreds of tutorials. This package is the product of all that monotonous saving and sorting.
Among the handful of novice tutorials, there's some quality in-depth articles included by respected mappers like Hourences, Gui and Mr. Prophet.
The design tips by DavidM, Plutonic and Goldabar are also great reading. (Check the assorted folder)
I've done my best to weed out the poorly composed tutorials by noob authors.

Those would be superfluous, there's so many 1st room tuts like that.

Wouldn't that would depend on whether it was a better or worse first-room tutorial. If it's just the same then sure.

Alright. I had a look at it, and it seems to cover more than the other 'your first room' tutorials.
I've already started constructing an add-on for the pack

Well, I haven't visited this site in over a year, so every thread here is new to me. FYI: the thing that brought me back here, was a necro-bump of the "Are you a mapper? Then read this!" thread.

Perhaps you could post a specific time limit on threads that would constitute a necro-bump? Is it six months? Four?

Anyway, your explanation on the new posts sounds ok, it's rather easy to not notice the dates when hitting new posts after not visiting for such a long time. On the other hand, new posts are ordered from latest to oldest, so you had to dig up a bit to see this one as "new".... but well, that's ok I guess, just take a look at the dates next time.
Of course, as stated in the rule, if you have something to add to the subject or some doubt or something along those lines, then the rule does not apply.
This is mostly to avoid senseless bumps.
