Hey guys, well after 3 years of saying that im going to get back into UT, my original disc is loading onto an external hard drive with Windows Me edition as I type.

I'd like to think I was one of the original hardore Ut players of the time, all i played was deathmatch and last man standing and the Shock was my weapon of choice.

I was never really part of a clan but used to spend all night bringing my old dial up connection to its knees.

Ahh the memories, i remember one american player called 'bad mouth' and boy was that a name he deserved !!

Are there still pure deathmatch and LMS servers or are they all modded nowadays ?

As with most oldies i went to UT2004 then UT3 and then got hooked on COD, even though im playing COD daily I still feel so much nostalgia for UT, hope the magic is still online....

Oh yes, there are still the regular DM servers - our CLD server still has regular stock DM and CTF - as well as the mods - even NW3 for DM and CTF.
I used to really like DOM too, myself.

Then there are the cool redeemer servers too LOL
Anyway, yes, we still have it all and Yes, the magic is still online!

I have found if you start looking at old clans,or search names,alot of folks are still very active but just stay to themselves .
Just look for people you remember and or game style you like cause there are so many still here and willing to play at any moment .

There is a servers/clan section here, and I advise you to get the updated audio and graphics renderers.
Check the thread on tweaking UT for details (quick link in the forum header), then my thread on Windows tweaks (plenty of the tools work on older systems).

I also setup a page with all the recommended and extra addons (Use my sig to find the extras).
