Re: Add this to OUR music thread.
Well I might as well spam then. (kidding)
But go off topic.
Well I got an older small 15 inch LCD monitor.
Compared to my 19 inch CRT, the LCD is one inch smaller screen, each direction.
So, one could say a 15 inch LCD is equal to a 19 inch CRT even though you lose size, you get back better edge clarity. Both run the same, 1024 by 768 @ 75 Hz.
So in effect I hardly notice the one inch dimension decrease.
It's not even a new monitor, the specs are not good compared to a new updated one.
It is clear, UT seems good, GTA SA looks ok.
First time using a LCD got it for free, is much less or no radiation (x-rays CRT), much less power consumption (NOT because I think Global Warming has a thing to do with science, but on our own merits to engineer things that use less power, (that works better).
Need to find a song, oh, monitor has speakers ~~ lol, cheap twang but effective.
EDIT, it's a 2005 CTL 5Gx, and the backlight took a few times turning it on and off and would work. While staring at a white webpage seen it sort of flickering.
Took it apart and it had 5 bulged capacitors, I replaced with some bigger ones, re-soldered a few areas, now it works the first time after I hit the power.
