Help With UT99 Demo Server

Hi guys.. yes the title is right I am running a UT99 Demo server. As much as I played GOTY Edition I started on the demo and it had a superb community, there are still around 10 servers running on there.
For pure nostalgia I added a Rockets only lowgrav server I run it from a batch file and its working great apart from the couple of skins and mapvote I have added, for some reason when players join thy are hot getting the file downloads.
I have not played or messed with these things in around 10 years, I stopped playing due to a loss of sight.
It may be something really simple and I will kick myself for forgetting.

Brilliant thanks.. I just add that to unrealtourament.ini or server.ibi?

Remember its been a veeerrryyyy long time since I have done anything like this

Killing me this..

The redirect thing is good but I am only using 2 skins & a mapvote so have no issue uploading them from this pc rather than use a redirect.
I have my own ftp storage with my isp I could use but creating the .uz files is a nightmare.
What happened to the good old days where this was easy lol

Please avoid double posts next time

Are you using a bat file to create the .uz files?

I made a .bat file in my system folder with the text "ucc compress ..\Compress\*" and created a folder in my UT root directory called "Compress". All I have to do is double click it, and all files in the "compress" folder will be turned into .uz files

To be honest it is all a little over my head.

I was looking for a tool that would create the .uz files for me to add to my ftp but the one I fond does not seem to work.

I have no real need for a redirect as I am going to be adding very little in the way of mods. I have 12meg upload broadband and just want any players who connect to be able to get the files straight from me rather than redirect.

Unfortunately, if you don't set up a redirect, regardless of how good your connection is, people will only download the files at a cap of 10-50 kbps, not a lot of players are willing to wait for even one 1 mb file to send at that speed.

I see the issue although the demo community may be more willing to wait to join but I am not even getting that to work, no files are being sent when a player logs on.

In the ini there's also an entry "AllowDownloads" In the demo that's apparently set to "False" by default, Look for this part

Sooo I now have sorted the upload issue.. many thanks :D

But now for some strange reason when the game ends it does not reload the map the server just freezes, I am only trying to use Morpheus

If you need any help with UT Demo - these guys know it! (they run several Demo servers)

In your batch file, the line that would cause it to loop has been commented out with the "rem" statement. (Thats short for remark....)

Change the last line so it looks like this:
