There's always room for those! The fact that we have one (1) texture artist on board doesn't mean we don't need more.

I am the Unreal archivist and historian. If you have something from the past of Unreal that I don't have, do tell.

There are few things more disturbing than this...

Re: [U1 GOLD 227] Return to Na Pali Episodes
I definitely owe ya people a serious update.
The mod was cancelled a few years ago but I decided to look into options into resurrecting it.
For that, I need a fairly easy SDK for potential collaborators, while including all of the planned content. The planned content, gameplay wise, would include vehicles (air and land), space battles and RPG features. There's enough options to go around for the first two on Unreal 227 but the third one is a pretty big issue so I started looking into Deus Ex as a platform for a moment. However, I still think Unreal 227 is the wisest choice of them all, which will require me to create a working port of DX' core features.
Currently this is at the stage of seeking out a method to export Deus Ex sources, including meshes. A success would be the capability to run the Liberty Island start mission with all of its core gameplay, either that or the tutorial section. Preferably the latter. Then we can start thinking of how to reskin/rework the UI to make it more in the vein of Unreal.
I'm pretty sure that adapting Unreal skins to certain Deus Ex models will be the best course of action to have the characters be able to move their lips while talking, it's definitely better than modifying Unreal meshes to give them the talking animation support of DX1.
I'm open for suggestions.
EDIT: After some talking / consultation, DX is back on the table as a target platform for this. The vehicles don't have native code so they should be convertable to DX with some work. I'll definitely be looking into things on that front.

Re: [U1 GOLD 227] Return to Na Pali Episodes
There is a fair bit of DX stuff in UT99 including the Liberty Island map and at least one other map - so there are textures and meshes around (I assume they've been exported from DX).
