lag from mesh
im getting a lag problem here. it has something to do with the mesh in the picture, and it causes lag for some reason. i dont have any idea why this is. sorry i cant give much information, i dont have any ideas on this

Why do you make this construction a mesh? It's not that high-poly, you can build it just with bsp without any problems.. (A wireframe-screen would be helpfull, maybe there are some hidden polys inside that cause errors..)

hmm mesh was probaly the wrong word to use there. I just mean that its a masked sheet. it causes lag for some reason...

depends on how many triangles it has, it can be something really small, but when very detailed, it will lag. (if you put any curves in it to make it look round it adds lag.) My suggestion is zone it off so it won't lag too much. (or put a flushzone located in the ut99 downloads section).

I agree with everyone on top, if its a mesh, try making it a simple bsp then its not laggy anymore 
If its NOT a mesh, try removing unimportant stuff, like an Add inside it
