Here ...I took only the upper part of the weapon body to compare it with the other part. I brightened it up and went up with the contrast. This way can you see much more details.

Is the texture's quality set to LODSET_Skin or LODSET_None? If not, it's going to look pretty blurry in-game. The mesh itself shouldn't affect the texture, so it being a skeletal mesh should be fine.

The LODSET was set to skin.AlCapowned wrote:Is the texture's quality set to LODSET_Skin or LODSET_None? If not, it's going to look pretty blurry in-game. The mesh itself shouldn't affect the texture, so it being a skeletal mesh should be fine.
And besides, changing brightness and contrast have no effect. But i think i understand from where trouble came - while making UV mapping for the skin,I did'nt resized parts of model properly

So to solve this task i'l need to re-set UV's. And I'll take another one texture for that that i found - it is more suitable for this model. Together wit this i'll reexport model and remake animation, due current anims looks a bit robotic and not slight

I like it, though the left hand makes the guy look kinda anorexic.

I see what you mean ...yeah this happens when the POV is too far behind the weapon.EvilGrins wrote:I like it, though the left hand makes the guy look kinda anorexic.

Nearly fix it, later maybe add more better hands. You can see updated version in topic "Ballistic Weapons Reloaded"

Re: Ballistic Weapons into UT99
Actually I thought the issue might be that the left hand grip is so far down the barrel. Maybe a closer positioning, but then I'm not that familiar with this kind of weapon. Not sure where the grips are supposed to be.

How many more hands does it need?!

Re: Ballistic Weapons into UT99
Hmmm..nice idea for Dr. Octopus manipulators to make them in Unreal
I simply rescaled a bit left hand to let it see more natural.
Think I'l fix that later...will rescale whole model a bit to make it not so long
Besides i found a mistake why textures were seen blurred. That's on part of animating in MS3D - i welded vertices of weapon, this action adds more smoothness. For hands it better look that texture is blurred a bit and you cant see it's polys (thing happens if vertices unwelded), but not for weapon.
