So, most people know that CB is down now; however, Nin (Thomas) and Supa (fierd_1) have started up a bt tournament over on ravje's site found below.
You can find the complete set of rules on the cup page; however, here is the main layout:
Here is the docx version of the rules, which is formatted to look a little more pretty:

Information:
Structure and Signups
Each tournament (Div1 and Div2 seperately) will take place over a single day.
- Division 2 - (Sunday April 6th 2014) - 16 signups - http://raaftv.ml/?site=cups&action=details&cupID=15
- Division 1 (Sunday April 13th 2014) - 16 signups - http://raaftv.ml/?site=cups&action=details&cupID=14
- Overflow - 16 signups - http://raaftv.ml/index...s&action=details&cupID=17
Please only signup to a tournament if you can agree to ALL of the conditions written in this document. There are only 16 spots per division. Don't leave it too late to sign!
The Overflows signup area is for those who want to signup after the other 2 have already been filled. You may be called on to substitute a player in one of the Divisions if they fail to check-in on the day of the tournament. If the Overflows signup area also fills, then I will consider making a third division. This will however depend on how much time there is available before the first tournament starts.
You may sign into only ONE of the THREE signup areas. By signing up to a tournament day, you are acknowledging that you will free up that day in your schedule and be available to participate in the cup over the course of that day. Check-in will occur between 13:00 - 13:45 CET on the website. If you miss check-in, you will lose your spot in the cup. If you have technical difficulties checking in, simply message me (/q Nin]) on IRC.
To sign-up, you will need to register on the site. Once registered and approved by an admin, you will be able to sign-up to a tournament. There are no restrictions on the site to prevent you signing up to both, but I will be monitoring it to make sure that you are only signed into a single tournament.
If you are a borderline player between the 2 skill-sets, then sign-up to the one that you feel is most appropriate for you. However, DO be cautious that you may be switched into the different division (on a different day) if we feel you are in the wrong place. If you know you're borderline, then keep this in mind. I will make sure we contact you if you are switched out of your Division of choice.
During the day, your game schedules should be split up far enough to ensure you can leave your computer for periods of time to eat, take the dog for a walk or other day-to-day things you need to do. Once a Division is filled, I will release a time-schedule for the games being played in that Division.
The structure of the cup is instantaneous "knockout / playoffs" with a losers bracket. This means that you can lose one match at any time, but still go on to win the tournament. This also means that every participant will have a minimum of 2 games on the tournament day.
For these tournament days, the games will be played on EURO servers unless both participants are in agreement to play somewhere else. If you do play on another server, then it must be set correctly. For American players (and other players outside of Europe), you will need to practice performing with higher ping. If there is a high number of non-EU participants for this tournament, I will consider changing this rule for subsequent tournaments (but not for the ones in April).
The maplist will be fixed. 3 maps per match. The map pool will be 10-12 randomly selected maps from a pool of 30 per division (to be confirmed in a week's time or so). Over time, maps can be added / removed from the pool of 30 for subsequent cups. Each map request will be considered. The final maps will be ranked on difficulty - the further you progress through the tournament, the harder the maps will get.
Players will be seeded and the first round schedule will be structured to reflect this. In a game, the player that is seeded lower will be able to choose the colour on the map of his choice in that round AND the decider map. The higher seeded player will choose the colour on the remaining other map.
Rules:
You must turn up on time for your games. Remember that by signing up, you are dedicating a part of your day to participate to the schedule. If you don't turn up on time for your game, you may be forfeited as we will have to stick to the schedule.
General rules from the previous CB cups will still exist. A number of these include but are not limited to...
It is only one day long for each division. They might make a div3 if there are enough signups. If this goes well and smooth, then there will be more in the future, and they will become a lot more prevalent in the bt scene!
Thanks for your time!
Happy fragging!
