DLD Servers had to make a move

We have run into some problems with windows 8 and v348 of UT99. Many of our players had major problems with windows 8 and the demo in reference to rendering (Video cards) Drivers etc. We are still working on this issue.

Ah, that's a shame, but appreciate the use of the servers for so long; my favourite demo DM server (Starz) recently closed it's doors, so there's not much to choose between at this point.

Does the demo not work with the new renderers ?
Also It may be possible for Smirftsch to make fixed ones for the demo ;)

That would be worth investigating - or perhaps things have gone too far now.

The EPIC Master Server doesn't seem to be including demo servers in its output any more. I used to be able to see them from my "retail version" server browser, and search for servers from the v348 browser, but nothing is showing up in either edition at the moment. I have 5 demo servers in my favorites list, but that's the only means by which they are accessible.

Well bare in mind that the 333nw master was originally hosted to look after the demo, so it will provide the results no one else can give you.

Thanks, I ought to update my demo UT.ini file. The trouble is, few other potential demo players will be aware of this possibility, so it'll likely be a lonely arena from now on

We upgraded the server to 451b, . :tu: The Starz server has just came back online  We will look into the windows 8 issues, but the Epic master server not showing v348 is an issue, because new clients will not know to modify their INI file for 333Networks master server. The only one working with demo at this time :? I feel this is yet another nail in the coffin of UT99

Sadly we lost are new server, not sure if it was a hack, or some other issue, but we are still playing the game. We had to go back to our old XP box, and v348 is back online. Still looking into windows 8 render issues. Epic isn't a option for v348, so be sure to add the 333Networks master server, or open location for the DLD Extreme v348 server. :lol2:

Epic master server is back up for v348, also 333networks master server is doing very well. :P
NOTE: DLD server is back online, and 348v is needed for our servers. :tu:
