i having a problem with converting the from the 2.1 unreal ed editor converting to music from ogg files to mp3.
Wich program is the best i did try another shitload of programs but i can only author 2 files and the rest wont convert properly.
The question :Wich audio converter can i use from Authoring ogg to mp3 files in extracting the files from unrealed 2.1 to ogg?
Or is it the unrealed version wich is not good to export the files?

I have the files saved too ogg, and i just wanted to have a proper program to converted from ogg to mp3 or at least agood program who can handle the files.

I never listen to the tracks outside the games. I have strong memory associations through music and I don't want to have the Unreal - any of the series - songs attached to any other time or place. So, if I want to hear the tracks, I have to play. Pretty good deal, IMO!

you should be able to use VLC media player to convert audio like OGG to MP3/4 or vica versa, although, why MP3? most players/phones/whatever supports OGG nowadays.

i'm not sure what control with VLC you have over the MP3 output, when I make MP3 files I always use features in Audition or other audio DAW because you can control the compression/quality and edit the internal info meta data, etc... OGG already has that iirc...

Depends on the compression rate. Most .ogg music in UT already has some powerful compression, so above-average mp3 compression rate will give unnoticeable results.

That audio converter site just rang alarms in the WOT and Webutation browser plugins, so I grabbed a file and uploaded to Virus Total

Do not use that convertaudiofree site, or you will suffer with adware.
Never trust a site that splits such tasks into a multitude of individual programs. All they offer can be done with 1 or 2.
VLC can do the job but is a bit fiddly until you realise how it works.

I recommend you convert direct from the original UMX files to mp3

I use WinAmp to convert most formats, as it supports a huge amount, but mp3 writing needs a valid key.

(One of the main reasons OGG can support higher quality is the use of 24 bit)
