What is the best way to extract files from your cache. I have maps i want to fix.
I used some cache cleaner and it messed up my UT... Is there anything similar that doesnt mess things up?

Re: Extracting maps from Cache
There are several ways to do it. Honestly. Yes, some program will screw up your UT and some doesn't.
There is always the manual way to do it...
1. Open your Cache.ini from your Cache folder.
2. Find said file name with it's MD5 hash (if that's what it is.)
Example: 1A26EAB04ACEEA3AFFC8878FA86F5766=Graveyard.utx
Look in your cache folder with the right name like this: 1A26EAB04ACEEA3AFFC8878FA86F5766.uxx
Copy that, put it in the folder where you need it (I'm using a .utx file for example so I'll place it in my texture folder) and edit the file name, rename it as Graveyard.utx
Repeat for all other file you need. Then, once you get all the required files you need, you are ready to open the map in unreal ed!
Now if you really want some alternative program that handle it for you, there is a few option.
1. If you want something that automatically extract all files, try out XC_GameEngine. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=5624
2. If you want to use a program that I know as it doesn't give me any problem, try out UTCacheCleanerV3 by [Twist]Shark_Killer a.k.a. Rob Barbour. http://hooksutplace.freeforums.org/view ... =52&t=2502
