Face - Was I the only one?

Was / Am I the only one on here that used to enjoy playing Face years ago?

I enjoyed snipering on the sides of the towers - plus also Blueyonder used to have an amazing UT CTF Instagib server that I really did love loads!! The ping rate for me was about 5 - 15. I used to own on that server... would be great for a simplier one to be up and running too. I think the levels were Facing Worlds, November, Coret, Eternal Cave and Lava Giant (I think Orbital was in it too) ...

I miss them days... now the server list is mainly full of servers where you need to download a DVD-sized amount of stuff just to connect.

... and I used to play Face quite a lot, it was rather funny learning all the tricks with firing reedemer under your own legs and throwing the flag towards your base this way.

The redeemer was a brilliant thing on that level... I used to on some occasions grab it and then run backwards out the teleporter and then teleport to the top of the tower... drop down and hide around the side of the tower and ALT-Fire it.

Muahhahaha!!

Face is a brill level for newbies too! It's simple and easy to use and there is no way anyone can get lost or confused.

Face is truly a classic, but I think it's a little bit overrated.

Face. Yes. You could easily get sniped yourself up there in the towers. I used to use the volatile health and volatile ammo mutators and then blow up the Keg to cover the flag carrier's back. A great map for "Keepaway."....

Warrior and Warlord(s)? were also great snipe maps

Nah, face is still one of my favorites to play, amazing amount of fun at lan parties with it.

Why not try the new face for the new UTs? I got a Face for UT2k4/3, and it was really fantastic to see the classicness on it!
