UT99.org | Unreal Tournament Community

Hi all, I´m trying to see if there is any need in the community for a redirect server? I suppose on many servers out there it is not wishful to download any packages and have noticed that many redirect servers are long gone offline and/or provide a very slow service as far as uploading and approving goes.

Just trying to measure the need to see if I can do something in this aspect.

Using redirect is useful because it send files faster than what the server can provide on default.

However, XC_GameEngine also use enhancement on this special feature as well.

Sorry if my question wasn´t too clear, but I´m measuring to see if the UT community is interested in "yet another" redirect server. What I´ve noticed setting up my UT game server is that there are not many redirect servers out there, and the ones that exist are very slow in approving any new uploads.

I´m willing to set one up for the community if people think there is a substancial need for it

Define redirect servers. Please.
All we need are active AS servers to match the supply of AS maps released by mappers, because people aren't doing AS maps because AS servers are a low demand. I love Assault!
PS: I didn't wish to be rude... I think I wasn't. But if redirect servers are useful, then I am on the train!

Oh that. Well there might be a few out there that want some but there is also some using UT-files' redirect as well.
