I'm currently using Kentie's Direct3D 10 renderer with 16x Antialiasing and AlphaToCoverage enabled, downsampled to 1080p from a resolution of 4096x2304 at 60hz.
Man does it look crisp, everything looks sharp and clean. Definitely makes good use of hardware if you're easily getting 200+ fps at 1080p.
Anyone run this game at crazy high resolutions?

I play at 800x600, as i don't need it any bigger. Plus, given my obsessive compulsory tendency to take screenshots so often... probably better if they're not so huge.

Re: Anyone run this game at crazy high resolutions?
I shoot for 1920x1080 on all my machines that have a 16:9 monitor on em.
My machines are all antiques, 10+ years old or more, so I am happy with that.
It was a crazy high resolution back then.
Don't make as many screenshots as EG. So I just resize em when they are too big.
I shoot for high quality settings, but I do cap my FPS at the monitors default refresh rate
these days.
Back when I was overclocking my cpu/memory/video card etc, I would run it wide open for
benchmarking, but for actual live gameplay I think you get better overall results capping the fps
at the monitors default refresh rate.

Playing at native 2560x1440 @ 96Hz. While not 'crazy high', things do look nice. I won't give up my OGL though.

Re: Anyone run this game at crazy high resolutions?
I playing with laptop, and connected to a LG 42LG3000 LCD TV. The laptop and the TV had the same maximum resolution 1366x768.
The problem is, I playing UT with 1024x768 resolution, because thats how I see good the crosshair and looks better than 1360x768.
If I use 1366x768 resolution, the UT resolution looks more bigger and cant see the whole image and looks very sharped like a bad photoshopped picture.
But if I use 1360x768 looks good, but the crosshair is big and feels not so smooth as 1024x768 resolution.
And the other problem is 1360x768 resolution image looks upwards drawn. The 1024x768 looks better because the image is drawn left and right side.
So its possible to play with higher resolution, but with the same effect, what I like on 1024x768?

Like that's ever gonna happen.MrLoathsome wrote:Don't make as many screenshots as EG.
Shrinking them takes away LOTS of the detail.MrLoathsome wrote:So I just resize em when they are too big.

I play in 1366x768, in a laptop and also a Very Powerful Gaming PC. (1360x768)
I only play in this laptop, anyway i don't need more resolution, it's enough to see everything.

last "higher" test, 2560*1440 and 3440*1440.
Where 2560*1440 is fine, 3440*1440 stretches even more and is somehow very strange. Luckily a higher fov worked this out a little bit.
tbh, i would like to test a crt monitor in 4:3.
