Re: Nuclear Races
Gonna necro this thread, but whatever. I'm in the process of recovering all my old NR map files, converting to blender workflow and finish all the unfinished projects. The mod was abandoned by GF-Rex, but back in 2015 when I last talked to him, he was willing to let someone else give it finishing to...

Re: Questions regarding warpzones
This thread gave me a brilliant idea - make a nice big CTF map with some sniper towers, but make sure the view you see from the tower is transmitted through a warp zone just to troll all sniper players.

Not that big of a progress, but I'm mostly posting this to encourage activity in this thread. I miss people posting their WIP stuff here.

Re: UT Map file dependency checking program?
Yes! That's the one I used. I tried the others too, but I still prefer the interface of this one. Thank you very much!Chamberly wrote:I use ZOM map manager all the time.

UT Map file dependency checking program?
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but I think this is mapping related. Years ago I used a piece of software that was able to tell all the files a certain UT map required to work. I forgot the name of it, though, but would very much like to find it again. I have a ton of maps that I ne...

Re: Screenshots
Nuclear races looks very fun, though I doubt I'd be able to handle that. It's actually pretty easy once you get a hang of it, and I'd dare say NR is the best way to learn how to handle a Strangelove, but NR isn't just limited to SLV - other vehicle-type weapons could be used just by running a mutat...

Re: Moar bsp error randomness caused by pc?
Semisolids can touch the sides of other additive/subtractive brushes, but they can't touch special brushes such as nonsolids (i.e. green brushes) , this means you can't cut zone portals through semisolids either, they can't intesect with, this means, be inside other brushes (unless it's a subtracte...

Re: Is this possible plus map ideas
http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/Legacy:ZoneInfo_%28UT%29 Only way I can think of is using zone properties that affect the speed with which players can move, e.g. ZoneTerminalVelocity via a ZoneTrigger? I can't say for sure since I've never used ZoneTriggers, but I assume it could be used to turn the sp...

Re: Screenshots
This thread still alive? NR-Terminus Shot0037.png Basic brushwork, 8 hours, ~900 polys, ~1800 nodes, no optimization. Haven't touched UnrealED in a couple of years, and NR development has stopped (although it's basically functional), but mapping this is quite fun. I think I'll see how far I can go w...

Re: [SLV] UT-SLV Old School Strangelove Arena - [New York]
SLV remake on UDK is probably the only thing that could bring new blood to the mod. Doesn't require much work either, only some physics tweaking so the UT3 one feels more UT1'ish. If there's a coder willing to put it together, I'm willing to make maps for it. Main forums going down was just the fina...

Re: Screenshots
Stupid neon signs, took more than expected, but they use a nice combination on Normal + Translucent + Modulated(animated) surfaces. A not-so-simple decoration actor that animates a nice effect that goes from left to right and brightens the sign every 6 seconds (more noticeabled on the blue signs). ...
