Re: Everything you need to know about using UT99 on new hardware
Hello, thank you so much for the very interesting post. Is there any chance that someone has the files from the EAX patches separately? I try to install the patch but it doesn't work (Windows 11). I use Creative ALchemy and it would be nice beeing able to use EAX in UTGOTY Thank you Here you go. An...

I remember getting him to do some zoning to help with performance, but don't remember how that turned out.
A lot of the performance drops came when looking at a lot of lights or translucent objects.

Re: custom .umx files not playing in-game
OK people, you can stop suggesting ways to change normal audio files into tracker files. This is an issue with importing real old fashioned tracker modules, which should be no problem. You may find that the tracker files are compressed or non-standard, so I would suggest importing and exporting with...

Solution: 1 UMX file per map.
If you want multiple music tracks you need to make a multi-mod.
Unreal soundtrack uses this so you can have music for action and music for tension.

Re: Is open sourcing UT a good thing? Why or why not?
Look at the DooM and Quake world to see what would happen. At first you'd get a burst of competing rebuilds but that would settle into 3 or 4 main alternatives. Network compatibility has always been a concern, but so far there are no big issues with using one client over another when it comes to onl...

Re: Epic is turning off Master servers for UT99 & UT2k4; UTX Announced - What To Do?
I emailed Tim Sweeney to ask about the legal status we have been left with. Is it now officially abandonware and anything allowed, or will distributing full copies and continuing to host the network be a problem ? I'm not holding my breath for an answer but we can hope for some idea of what we are a...

Re: Epic is turning off online services and servers for UT99
I have contacted Epic and GOG about the situation on behalf of 333networks, so I should have some news to share at some point.
I am also pushing for the allowance of supporting UT2004, but that is more of a technical issue.

Hello Jojonew.
I think you made a mistake. This site is dedicated to the original Unreal Tournament.
Unless you want to import the weapon into UT, we can't help you here.

You can use this free tool to check what your DNS is reporting for any given domain. It also lets you set specific DNS to use for testing so you can compare. https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/dns_records_viewer.html The ISPs in Australia are busy collecting all the data they can, so they can "prote...
