Re: How to disable trans locator by editing a map.
my main concern is OVERIDING, THE MAPPERS INTENT, AS OPPOSED TO BREAKING THE MAP. would MEAN PLACING BLOCK ALLS FOR EVERY MH OR SP MAP. But... that is what mappers have been doing in all sorts of games throughout history! Defining impassable places! To just ban the Translocator altogether would be ...

Re: How to disable trans locator by editing a map.
It's just that (not a big deal) but I think the mapper should have the power to block it in some way or to block mutators having an effect, built into the map. I just think it should be bypassable. Part of the magic in UT and its replayability is the ability to screw around with all the different s...

Cool banners. I like that the 2nd one reminds me of Luxor 3.

Re: Last Post Standing, the sequel
Wouldn't closing the thread technically violate the rules? As it would deprive us from knowing who's the TRUE Last Post Standing!

Re: Last Post Standing, the sequel
This is ridiculous! Nobody specified the time frame in which the victory conditions apply!

Re: DM-CthonicTemple
Plays well with MushMatch ( https://ut99.org/viewtopic.php?t=14820 ) version 1.3.3 (which has not seen a release build publication on its GitHub home as of yet for some reason). That's because 1.3.3 was prone to crashes. This was fixed in the just now released version 1.3.4 , alongside a few other ...

Re: Mush Match v1.3.4
With Buggie's help, I finally fixed what used to be a recurring crash. That and other changes just went live with v1.3.4! You can grab it in the GitHub Releases page here . But here's a changelog: Make the scoring of a kill propagate to the killed's suspector when applicable Fix score voided when in...

Re: XVehicles (Network play) (VCTF, VMH for UT99)
Why does the poll have a "no play" option? I feel like having it is kind of a moot point, since you aren't going to consider them in your decisions anyway; people in that category should just not vote at all.

Can't believe I'm here again, but I'm still looking forward to the amd64-linux version lol. Might wanna build it in a separate System64 folder, both when building and when distributing, to avoid mix-ups and keep it neatly organized.

Re: Is open sourcing UT a good thing? Why or why not?
And then those other versions wouldn't be compatible with each other. I feel like the community would settle with the most popular one. There could also be community effort towards a common spec of sorts. That has happened before. the game would likely be forked into all sorts of different UT versi...

Re: Is open sourcing UT a good thing? Why or why not?
If bad things happen, the community can just not use them. With the source code available, they would be able to choose what they want to build with the source code. If an offshoot is undesirable, just go with another! That is the magic of open source - the freedom of choice!
