Wow, I didn't know that. That is cool.Barbie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 11:53 amMovers can also follow any number of PathPoints - see Unreal's map NaliBoat for example (or my conversion MH-NaliBoat(SB)).

Re: What was the hardest thing you came across while working on maps?
I wonder what that "make nali friendly" actor was for if at some point it wasn't an idea that they should be on another level than regular monsters. That's an actor from Unreal that just happens to be included with the UT codebase. It was intended for if the player shot a friendly Nali in...

Re: What was the hardest thing you came across while working on maps?
The problem was if you played with bots, they would shoot the nali even though the point was to rescue the nali and help him escape. Never figured out how to keep the bots from shooting the nali as soon as you released him. That's "creativity" problem (mapper's more exactly) not a mapping...

Re: What was the hardest thing you came across while working on maps?
That is kind of a trippy effect you have in the image. Not sure exactly what I amlooking at but it looks sort of warped. Might be a cool effect to play around with , to be sure. It's this project here https://ut99.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13015&p=115380 Cool idea. I'm guessing that you never...

Re: What was the hardest thing you came across while working on maps?
You are right. I think they have to be pointing the same way and that also includes the flip of the sheet. Both have to be flipped the same. Portal zones are difficult to get working. I can agree with that. Yes and no ...you can turn them into different directions to produce something like this. ht...

Re: What was the hardest thing you came across while working on maps?
As long as we are talking about movers, I was frustrated that there are a limited number of keyframes a mover had. I wanted to see if there was a way to get a higher number of keyframes and there is. I used this attach method in the map DM-The Spinner. I don't remember how many keyframes that mover ...

Re: looking for musical intruments
You can use anything in my map if you mention me in the read me file. I even have a working piano in there but the guitars are huge and so is the piano. When you walk across the piano or shoot it it plays the notes. Got a lot of music themed textures like amps and guitar effects etc. https://unreala...

To answer the question in the title, for me, it's finding the right textures. But after reading the thread, I see that is not what you are asking.

Thanks for the info everyone. Snake hasn't come back yet. Still, trying to get things cleared out so we have clear visuals all around everything. If it comes back I'll get some pictures of it. @EG-Maybe I should have said biggest snake I have ever seen in real life....1 foot away. I watch a lot of n...

Snake News...
So I was working on the side of the house, helping out in the garden area beside our house, cleaning up after the freeze in Feb, planting some fresh plants for the wife and such. And while I was cleaning up a vine riddled fence, my wife says she saw a baby racoon tail run under the landing. It is ju...

The amazing part is that you used all 8 colors Paint provided. Memories.
I was gonna say Skaarj but they never wear pink before Labor Day.
Pretty cool though. Thanks for sharing. It could be a NFT. Asking price - a zillion whatevers.

I heard that the cost of living there is outrageous. Hope that things get better for you soon.
At least you have the hotel for now. Hang in there. Keep trying. Something good might be right around the corner.

Re: CTF-Ditcher - need help testing
I see them. I would suggest making your box X unreal units smaller in all directions and see if the lines can be eliminated. If your texture is let's say, 256 X 256 , try making your box 254 X 254 X 254 for example until your line can be adjusted away. Just a hunch it might work? Allow your overages...
