No, it was also in the PS2 version.

Re: 25th Anniversary of Unreal Tournament
For the 20th Anniversary I started working on an "Ultimate Console Map Pack", which had all maps and map variants from the Dreamcast and PS2 versions of Unreal Tournament in a faithful way (exact weapon and item placements, spawn points, and so on). I made some good progress over two years...

Yeah, this. Not sure what you mean, though, by "beat you to it". My version will be a little bit different and included in a map pack.EvilGrins wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:24 am You mean this? Think somebody beat you to it.

Re: Crediting others for their work is important...
I kind of have a similar problem with Jeroen Van Sweeveldt, who've made the PC version of CTF-Sundial, which I want to use for my upcoming PS2/Dreamcast map pack. He didn't forbid using his map in the Readme, but he didn't allow it either. But he also didn't leave an email address and he doesn't see...

OpenGL on Ubuntu -> Dynamic Lights look bad
So, I'm running UT99 on a ThinkPad with Ubuntu 18.04 installed, using Loki and its provided OpenGl renderers. It works fine for the most part, but dynamic lights look quite horrible, as if they were rendered in tiles. See the attached screenshot for how Pulse Gun shots look like... These are my curr...

Re: UnrealArchive.org
Perhaps one day I'll spend some time poking at the UE3 package formats, so we can add that stuff. This would be amazing. UT3 had some really great custom maps and map packs, e.g. the HOLP stuff. There are some real treasures there. With regards to authors, you can use the standard search for that t...

Re: UnrealArchive.org
Great work so far!
Would love to have Unreal Tournament 3 in there and a search function for authors.

Re: Favourite other games?
For the most part I'm a Nintendo fan, where I primarily enjoy the Zelda games, but also the Metroid series, Super Smash Bros. and so on. On the PC I mostly play Arena Shooters, where other than the various UTs I like to play Quake Champions, Quake Live and Xonotic. I've also been playing Minecraft f...

Re: ut99 dreamcast
But please keep in mid, because there are already versions of those maps with those names around ...rename yours to avoid mismatches. Already did, the file names are all tagged with either PS2 or DC to avoid conflicts with any existing maps out there and also to have these maps grouped nicely, simi...

Re: ut99 dreamcast
Thanks, guys! I'm getting to close to finishing the map pack, but it would be good to have someone for testing + reviewing before the release. UnrealGGecko already volunteered and he is quite familiar with the PS2 version. And it would be nice to have someone else with access to the Dreamcast versio...

The maps work great now. Thanks a lot again to Red_Fist for the help!

Re: ut99 dreamcast
@UnrealGGecko; Thanks for the links! I made my own DOM-version of Osiris (you only had to add Control Points) and I've already found the CTF-Sundial map by Joen, which is a superb conversion. Without it I couldn't release the map pack, because there seems to be nothing else out there for this map. I...

Re: ut99 dreamcast
@UnrealGGecko: I've seen this list and it was a very good starting point, thank you for this. The map in question would be Sorayama. The PS2 rip from the "Original PS2 Maps" pack is missing the entire lower half for some reason... There is a version out there by Ken Lynch, but it has diffe...
