Let me show you guys somethin' I've been workin' on.
Remember Prey from '98?
I'm sure you do. Legend has that is ran on a heavily modified Unreal engine.
Story time over. I'm just too lazy to type.
Grab the teaser.
We had a few more workin' maps. Let me know if you guys are interested in seen 'em.
Teaser:
(Be sure to have MUSIC and SOUND on.)

P.S:
Let me know if any of you is interested in codin' a few weapons for me.
I've got sprites, so the weapons should look like the ones imported from doom.
Some kind of a sheet-mesh.

I'd be interested in talking with you about the weapon coding. We are going to be sliding into the rainy season soon and I'm looking for a project to work on. Let me know and I'll meet you in someone's TS.
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Umm ..... no, actually - before my time - would you like to say a bit more about it or point to a source of further info?makemeunreal wrote: Remember Prey from '98?.
Well, having been teased, I'm sure people have been left wanting more - so the answer to that is yes.makemeunreal wrote: Grab the teaser. We had a few more workin' maps. Let me know if you guys are interested in seen 'em..

It's low quality but you guys that were there at the start of Unreal...well this is going to take you back there. Put on your headsets, crank some volume, and remember {{{remember}}} {{{{{{{{{{{{{remember!}}}}}}}}}}}}...

Re: CANNED "Prey-rebooot" stuff
Seeing this trailer in 2017 kinda makes you laugh by how enthusiast the narrator is talking about the "realistic lighting" and animations and such.
But then I remember that the very first thing which pulled me into UT wasn't the lighting, or the overall visuals, not even the gameplay. I saw a player (friend) shooting with dual enforcers in DM-Morpheus, and you would see the "hole" the gunfire would make on the walls and you would smoke/dust afterwards on a ramp on space, and in my mind back then I remember clearly that it was the coolest thing I ever saw up until that day.
Nowadays however, if I play a modern FPS game and I am not able to destroy the environment in some way: "is this the level we're still at? meh".

And in 2037 other dudes will laugh looking at you... that simple. That was the age, what would you do ? Technology from nowadays was a dream in those times. I don't get what exactly is that funny - I'm moved - I feel those times, I feel the voice, presentation was setting up some emotions, I don't see any circus here.

This is funny to me and potentially billions of others for the exact same reasons why anything very old and so over the top is considered to be so nowadays, and why the current state of the art will be laughed off too within a few decades, there's nothing wrong with that. From there you either get the joke, or not.
You need to stop being so serious about everything all the time.

For me, gamin' consists only of the Unreal series. Unreals and UTs are the only games installed on my computers, the only games I play on my consoles, and the only games you can find on my shelf.
(Beside a few more UNREAL-ENGINE-GAMES what games I colelct jsut because of the fact they have somethin' Unreal in them )
I don't really care 'bout graphics. Unreal engine 1 is 10 out of 10 for me.
