OS after startup idle for 2:30 Win7 pro 64.

Post by Red_Fist »

I have always turned off everything from an OS since win 3.1 or win95. If I didn't install Microsoft Security Essentials, the lowest I get is about 930 meg. I have Microsoft Security Essentials off and terminated in task manager for the picture.

Oh,and, I had win snipping tool running to take the screenshot. Thing is, is I don't need or want anything extra running very much, is because the computer does everything I need or use and works excellent.

If you turn off the computer itself it will lower the power consumption and CPU will also be at 0%.

My PI 4 4GB uses a lot idle as well:

With chrome open goes up to a whopping 330mb, don't even get me started on it using 5 watts under load, had to get a mortgage just to pay for it's running costs.

Ya I really need that one app that watches from you turning on a light at home from a computer at home ,while sharing, that sends a video of the light switch moving to your cell phone in HD.

I also thought people would just post their own start-up usage.

(but all Barbie has to do is use 400,000 """apps"'''' running, so he CAN'T do it.).

But but ...but then you can't see how low the power usage is.

Now we need that candle to look if the lights are really off.

I am not into power saving and global warming, I turn on everything that turns off power saving, don't even run screen savers.

Seems you guys don't get it.

Memory bit zero is fastest to access, so the farther away from zero, things run slower and slower.
