[WIP] DM-Temple of Aphrodite for UT99
DOM-Temple of Aphrodite is a UT 2003/2004 map originally created by Tynan Sylvester fof Double Domination game mode.
Map have amazing design and excellent gameplay, but for UT 2003/2004.
The goal is to recreate such amazing map for UT99 to play DM for 2-4 players.
Now converted only Geometry + Textures, without meshes and pickups.
But anyway result is pretty good.
Map converted with original textures size.
Was done work with Light and basic Geometry.
Planned to add original music track and some of meshes.
Also will be added jump pads, pickups and path nodes for bots.
Map well displayed under DX11 renderer.

Wow, the original map was always one of my favorites of the CBP1. A conversion to UT99 is an ambitious project. I hope it has the same music as the original

I need some help with importing of meshes.
I have 3 files:
Ty_GreekSmeshes.usx-Large.MountainPeak(StaticMesh).uc
Ty_GreekSmeshes.usx-Large.MountainPeak(StaticMesh)_a.3d
Ty_GreekSmeshes.usx-Large.MountainPeak(StaticMesh)_d.3d
When I try to compile this files into .u file via tool UMake.exe I have an error "Superclass Resource of class MountainPeak not found."
How to solve it?

Maybe try changing Resource to Decoration? Also change the Exec coz this will no longer be a STATICMESH.

Thanks, but it's not enough,
compilation is ok, but mesh is not visible in mesh browser,
also I need help with linking of texture for such mesh.

Hrm...
Okay, maybe in a bit of a roundabout way... but have you tried placing the mesh on an empty map in UT2004 editor, converting it to a brush, saving that map and exporting it to .t3d? (is it possible or is it not possible?)

So, I'm stuck with importing of meshes, if somebody help me with importing,, then I will continue development of map

I have tried to locate infomation on this very subject and in my searches, I have not found a good set of instructions for this process. If someone with ut2k4 -> ut99 mesh experience could write up a brief tutorial (ideally with pics, list of tools), like I did for Photoshop 3D skin painting that would be much welcomed and lauded addition to ut99.org's knowledge base.

How did you do that? Can you please provide a tutorial how to convert meshes?
I will add another meshes myself.
Also I have one question - how to add collision to mesh? Now possible to go through all such meshes. Need to fix it.

Gorgeous map.
Music reminds me of "Centurion: Defender of Rome". (remember that one?)
The most lasting memories of Unreal have always been not so much the size or detail in a map, but that the author did something different, original and unique.

Download UE viewer -> open the mesh file pack from UT2004' StaticMesh folder -> export mesh from current pack find the desired texture -> import to MilkShape3d as UT2004 psa/psk -> then add a joint assign joint into group done -> export mesh as psk/psa wise -> compile with UT99
UT99 does not support the exact collision like UT2004, but you can add collision cylinder also blockall from Keypoint
Fixed uv mapping, converted as unreal3d mesh.
