I dropped an eye at UnrealArchive and I found new content with missing "packages" :agree1: - Definitely we need someone to do these missing packages:
NeedMoreWCStuff.PNG
These are UT repositories in 2021 - yeah, that Happy new Mask ooopsy I mean Year. Good luck with packages...
^ That looks more like a bug in Shrimp's package parser rather than actual missing packages.
I mean, I doubt things like StoneTitan0, UT_Jumpboots19 and Brush48 are "missing packages", and rather they are likely just objects placed in the map but which are set in such a way in the map package that the parser may have mistaken them by missing packages.

You may want to report that case to Shrimp so he can double check and confirm whether or not that is the case.

Having that said, this whole talk about missing packages steered this entire topic into off-topic territory, so I suggest that if you want to keep discussing this theme, to maybe create a new topic and continue from there, and leave this one for the contest itself.

:agree1: here. But I see people asking about missing packages - I don't get why do we miss mismatches... and screwed up content. I think next time I will participate at some contest, sharing whatever map with 20 packages "needed" for preventing people to complain about fake missing files. I'll give them files... a lot of files if community needs useless files... Once again AUTOMATED packing scripts have failed in UT.

Thanks sektor2111 and Feralidragon for pointing this out, I will indeed investigate. The tool may well be wrong, it could be misinterpreting root-level packages.

You have to be able to implement your ideas or provide some useful skill. Never join a project whose idea man or leader has no obvious development skills. Never join a project that only has a web designer. You have your own ideas. Focus on them carefully and in small chunks and you will be able to develop cool projects."

Thing about something truly ridiculous is that nothing can be too weird, such as the contest ending in January but the final reviews and forum voting on the maps submitted not having happened yet.

That and I'm kinda holding out for the domination map with the simulated dragon thing circling to be completed.

So, never fret... eventually this will happen · https://unreal-games.livejournal.com/tag/ridiculous

Damn it! Now I feel like I have to rush it, it's only 10 months overdue... But that is why I entered Vacuity, I knew Jupiter wouldn't be ready.
Currently working on the no rules contest entry, new baby due in 6 weeks too. Last baby was 4 weeks early and this one could be the same.
Not a lot of free time in my future...

Not too much to go:
-Finish custom HUD that indicates when it will fire, what team its on etc.
-Finish voice pack and get it talking / taunting.
-Steel more stuff from NW3 for its fireing visuals.
-Sounds.
That's all that comes to mind atm.
