Well, I finished the HUD.
Found a bug in UT469 XOpenGL, overlaying a translucent texture on an invisible one can cause a visual artefact on the HUD depending on the colour being drawn.
Unable to reproduce with D3D.
Added sounds in, hated them, removed sounds.

Is that what the thing on the left side of the screen is?
On the latest update I noticed the dragon doesn't attack at all, and that thing on the left I assumed was an indicator for exactly when the Control Point gives a new point... but it doesn't exactly track with the score increases.
That icon does change color periodically, though... when the first progress bar makes it all the way across.

I'll attempt to explain how it works, the icon displayed on the top half always matches what team the control point is on but the colour that is rendered is controlled by the dragons team.
It takes 5 seconds for the dragon to change teams. (This is done to stop the dragon switching teams rapidly when the control point is heavily contested).
So, when the control point is taken by another team, the symbol will change to that teams icon and the colour will switch to grey. The top bar will charge for 5 seconds then the new team colour will be applied.
This is also the point where you will see the dragon show up on the scoreboard.
The bottom bar indicates when the dragon will fire and starts charging at this point, it takes 10 seconds to charge (in the latest beta anyways, it will probably be changed to 30 seconds later depending on how OP it shoots).
Changing teams or firing will both reset the bottom charge bar.
Of note, the shockwave was removed from the firing effect so teammates don't get blasted off the tower. All that indicates it has fired is a very quick shock beam. (No sound is played).
So it can be very easy to miss that the dragon has vaporised someone.
Big bug currently is that no message is displayed when the dragon kills someone, this is the main thing I'm trying to fix atm.

It shouldn't need an extensive vocabulary, not like a full on voicepack. Something general, like a series or dragon roars or something evil.

Little update:
Speech audio is done and coded in, I did go with the dialup tones.
Tomorrows job is to fix the audio format and reimport it so audio drivers don't break...
Still haven't redone shooting but I'm running out of other things to fix so that wont be far away.
