I'm not sure if a bad map is part of a visual tweaking guide. If map was a guess work, good luck with tweaking...

I have it on several maps, it seems the matter is not in the map itself, but the graphics settingssektor2111 wrote:I'm not sure if a bad map is part of a visual tweaking guide. If map was a guess work, good luck with tweaking...

I had the same problem in DM-Phobos, and yes it was one of the graphic settings...
I just can't remember which one.
also @AndryxaXP please avoid using double posting... use @ or quote in the same post if you want to reply to multiple people.

Here are some more screenshots of this skybox, only on another map (DOM-GOREJungleSE). With each rotation of the camera, the moon and the planet changes it's location.

Wow ...this problem deserves an own thread.
As I said before, I've never seen something like this.

Re: TUTORIAL: Unreal Tournament Audio & Visuals Tweaking Gui
Well, a bump it seems.
I thought I would post about running UT (and all games) using Nvidia's DSR, or Dynamic Super Resolution. This enables one to run the game at a very high resolution, which is then scaled down to fit the native resolution of your monitor. I run at 2560x1440 native with a GTX1070 and am able to run UT at 5120x2880 with DSR maintaining 60+ FPS, even with many newer games. So, if you have an Nvidia card (Maxwell or newer) and want to give this a try, it is seriously worth it. The Unreal series all look incredible at this resolution.
Nvidia control panel settings:
Enable DSR resolutions, starting with "Manage 3D Settings". I set mine from 2.0 to 4.0, meaning that 2x, 3x and 4x can be used. Some games might not run well at 4x, so 3 or 2 is a good compromise. It can also do 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 for even more fine tuning.
Then, under "Adjust Desktop Size and Resolution" set the scaling setting to "No Scaling". This is very important to avoid the new resolution being 'zoomed in' and not fitting the desktop.
That's it. I changed the resolution manually in my .ini file (for all Unreal series titles) but it could probably be done in-game as well. The results are pretty spectacular. If you can do this, I strongly recommend it, not only for UT but all games.

Yes, I'm particularly interested in the first one. I think I've played the second one but can't remember the name. The final one is makemeunreal's entry in the last mapping contest here DM-CMC-Letitia.Virgile wrote:What are the maps on the screenshots posted by Carbon?

I think the first one is DM-2019, a map based on Blade Runner movie.OjitroC wrote:Yes, I'm particularly interested in the first one. I think I've played the second one but can't remember the name. Re: TUTORIAL: Unreal Tournament Audio & Visuals Tweaking Gui
DM-2019 is an Angelheart map for UT2003. There is a bigger version for 2004 (the older version will play in 2004)
http://www.mapraider.com/profiles/Angelheart/maps
Old maps using low resolution textures will still look like old maps with low resolution textures.
To really benefit, you should use the replacement textures, and/or modern maps with big textures.
Try Creavions last maps for a visual treat.
EDIT
Updated the bonus pack links in the first post.
