By that, you mean see if it's because a path name has too many characters? Or do you mean the sum total of the characters used in all path names?

I think v469 did add the hostname being able to be added, and if xbrowser doesn't say it work then I wonder what's up?

Idr if v469 added hostname to be added or not.

I tried imitating XServerQuery (and only sending a few vars, like the country flag) and XBrowser didn't even display the server.
Is XBrowser expecting every single field to be sent by the server? Is it case sensitive too?
Can it be made more flexible?

Bug report:

I found a bug only affects on xbrowser201
the problem is this if I add on ut.ini> core.system> Paths.../= Directory, I have tested adding up to 33 paths directories and xbrowser201 works, but if I add another paths (34) I get this when I go to open xbrowser201.

I tried using XC_Engine but it doesn't solve

while xbrowser200 and earlier versions work in this regard paths directory

I discovered a bug in general on ut99 and I assume for unreal gold too!
After certain limit adding many paths the game crashes when trying to enter a server with nexgen, without nexgen or ace it works, so the problem of conflict between paths and nexgen / ace

it's not just about xbrowser201 having a conflict with too many paths

If there are paths but nothing in it, it may be a different story.

If the user said he been using it with no issue but the crash occur while using xbrowser v201 it's a different story as well. Blaming it on the core engine is kinda weird...

hmm i tested while i was developing ut99ultimate (FanMade) several months ago, without xbrowser and ut99 crashes the same so the problem is due to the game itself, i also tried to add lots of paths with empty folders and nothing crashes so this is a big problem paths limitation so the game does not support up to a certain number of paths


i added 3 or 4 empty folders and i can guarantee you it works without problems i mean while connecting to a server with nexgen / ace

discovered a bug where the name of the map is not being displayed correctly in XBrowser.

Server: 195.98.73.166:6666 (make sure to use query port 6667 if adding to favorites)

also another thing , if adding a server which is already in favorites BUT has a different QUERY PORT it wont add to favorites UNLESS you enter in the correct Query Port.

for Example;

Server A 192.168.1.1:7777
Server B 192.168.1.2:6666

if Server A is already in favorites then when you try to add server B it does not show in favorites because it assumes the Query port is 7778 instead of 6667
to rectify this problem the user must add the QUERY PORT Manually. ie; 6667 in the settings dialog box.

XBrowser should automatically pickup the Query port number from the ServerPort+1
