UnrealEd keeps "crashing" sort of.
This just happened today, tried opening it several times but it kept happening over and over.
Also tried it on both my normal UT as well as my Unreal Anthology UT, same thing.
It opens about as far as what you see in the screenshot, and then it immediately shuts itself down.
This is problematic for me as I can't skin or edit maps without it, but I can't figure what're preventing both of them from working.
UT still plays fine, for whatever that's worth.
Help!

did you install anything recently? I had problems with ued a while back, turned out it was because i imported files from unreal gold into ut99 and didn't know they were incompatible, so i snipped out the problem files any everything is cool now.

Nope, nothing new installed in awhile. Not for years.

Sometimes "unexpected" issues were showing up in my environment when I was in lack of disk space...
as long as it happens in two editors in the same time - logically problem looks like it's coming from a "common" source.

I don't have that file, in either UT.

It must be in System dir after start UnrealEd.
Ah. My bad. It called Editor.log. Not UnrealEd.log.

Ah, that makes sense... but it's completely blank.

Start editor with parameter "-forceflush" and look in the log file again.

1) Has anything in your OS changed since you last ran UEd? Is there anything in any of your OS logs that indicates why UEd doesn't load properly?
2) If UT runs but your UEd does not (and both your UEd installations don't run), then it possibly suggests that a file required by UEd but not by UT is not being allowed to 'run'?
3) Have you tried removing UnrealEd.ini and then tried running UEd?

How do I do that? I usually just doubleclick the icon for it.
I hate to seem like an idiot, but where would my OS logs be?
Thinking either MalwareBytes or AVG-free may've isolated something. What are all the files UnrealEd need to run?
I just did, it attempted to load a little differently but then shut itself down again.
Also, just found I have all of these:

Append into shortcut properties. Or via command line.
Press Win+R, search UnrealEd on disk, in input via space append parameter and click "run".

Editor.log remains a blank file, no text within.
Even tried deleting it to generate a new one... still blank.

Those are the crash dump files so try double clicking on one and see what it says.
UnrealEd.exe and Editor.dll are, I think, the major files that the Editor needs to run but UT doesn't need to run.

Well I still have those.
What it had to say was this, but I can't make heads or tails of it:
