I'm all for maps that use warp zones. They're brilliant when handled right, like this one · http://evilut.com/CTFM-EvilCylinder.html

However, I'm also a bots guy. Pathing is a necessity. Someday online play of UT99 will be a thing of the past but those of us with pathed maps can still play with ourselves...

Lol true, not much was fixed, but the past map hadn't based signs and the textures were a bit messed. There's a secret in the map, you can find a hint in the map played in the vid (probably not everyone will like this secret).

effects through warp-zones are strange

First when I played this map today I thought the warp-zones doesn't work correctly, but its because of the mapdesign (Escher-like)... You can use the translocator through the warp-zones. It looks crazy when the translocator came back like a boomerang hahaha.

It should be noted, and I can dig around for it later if anyone's interested, there's an 10 year old DM map that's based on the Escher designs... although it has no warp zones at all.

Are you referring to the Dropbox link?

Click the top right "Download" which will open Dropbox's annoying little window..click anywhere around it (or just click "x" to close it), then click download again.
