The 20th Anniversary Mapping Contest - 20AC

Start on the 22.September.2019
End on the 22.November.2019

Any theme, Any game-type, it must be playable with bots and must be build from scratch.
All exotic packages must be included into the final zip-file or MyLevel'ed into the map.
A badge will be created which must be included and placed somewhere visible in the map.

If you want to participate write the staff member.

The Bonus Maps which get included into the final Mappack should be finished until the 28.November.2019

We want to deliver a huge mappack with a lot of quality maps... therefore, for all contestants and bonus-mapper give your very best.
Show everyone out there how much fun you had and still have with this old game. :mrgreen:

:rock: party has begun guys, between anth announcement with patch 469 maybe would be a nice idea (Im suggesting something, ain't a important guy who contribute anything in ut scene lol,im only a old ut player only) make timeline to match when ut pach is published do the same for this mappack understanding or keeping in mind what pappercoffee ask for mappers to do their best or decent or quality maps...I find the end for time limit to put maps just finished a bit rushing or overlapped (my thoughs again dont bite me)

what if you guys could put your best finery (like do oscars actors and actress with their elegant clothes used to wear when going to the oscar awards) to celebrate the 20th year of live for our beloved UT? maybe you could talk with ankh to secretely match their release for both when Ankh its done...

Is only an idea, of course, no offense :mrgreen:

My plans are to make a "vanilla" CTF map with stock textures, but to also include all the mapping tricks and lighting tricks I've learned over the years.

I never analyzed the looks of those maps, it's just the way it looks in our brains after all this time and I never really looked. :)

I make it simple:
if you want into the contest to win the EPIC pack build your map now ...new from scratch.
if you just want to have a map in the map-pack as a bonus content take unfinished stuff or build or rebuild or what ever.

But at the end we (staff) will have the last say... if for example, someone send in a re-textured Deck16, we won't put it into the map-pack.

So, are you in the contest or in the bonus round?

I was talking about maps that have never been published but that could be completed and published, not about publishing unfinished maps.
